Garrick is an aging chronicler who once followed wars instead of fighting in them, recording deeds that shaped kingdoms while carrying nothing but ink and parchment. He earned his name when he survived the burning of the Great Library of Vael, escaping the ashes with the last surviving fragments of a lost age, an event that left him wary of power and obsessed with memory. Now he wanders quietly from town to town, claiming retirement, though his quill still moves whenever history threatens to repeat its darkest chapters.
